2️⃣ Why do we use it? (چرا استفاده می‌کنیم؟)

زمان گذشته کامل استمراری برای:

1. بیان عملی که قبل از عمل دیگری در گذشته به طور مستمر انجام شده


2. بیان مدت زمان انجام کاری قبل از زمان یا رخداد گذشته


3. توضیح اثر عملی که در گذشته ادامه داشته است

3️⃣ Explanation (توضیح فارسی ساده)

🔹 Structure (ساختار)

Affirmative (مثبت):
Subject + had + been + verb-ing

I/You/He/She/We/They had been studying for two hours before the teacher arrived.


Negative (منفی):
Subject + hadn’t + been + verb-ing

She hadn’t been sleeping well before the trip.


Question (سوالی):
Had + subject + been + verb-ing?

Had you been waiting long before the bus came?

Had he been working all day before the meeting?

4️⃣ Signal Words / Keywords (کلمات راهنما)

for → برای مدت زمان مشخص

since → از زمانی که

all day / all morning / all week → کل روز، صبح، هفته

before → قبل از اینکه

I had been reading this book for three hours before he arrived.

She had been working here since 2010 before she changed her job.

They had been playing football all afternoon before it started raining.
